DR. NO

Dr. No a relatively simple movie. It is also the first in the James Bond saga. The movie starts with an Mi6 agent playing cards in jamaica. The waiter comes to him and tells him that there is a phone call for him. The agent does not see anything suspicious because he was expecting this call. Going to the phone he picks it up but there was no one on the other end of the line. Turning around he sees three thugs walking toward him each of the armed. He asks “Can I help you?” they say nothing and then proceed to kill him. The scene then switches to a lady at her house who we later find out is also an Mi6 agent. She goes in and sets her keys down before going to her high tech telegram station. She was stationed in Jamaica as part of a covert field operation’s radio manager. Going to the station she radio’s in and lets them know that all of the members are doing what they are supposed to. But in the middle of the message, she goes radio silent and the operators get worried. The reason she went silent is that the three thugs snuck up on her and shot her. M, the head of Mi6 hears of the news, and then sends his best man 007( James Bond ) to investigate. But, before every mission, he has to report to his Quartermaster or his gadget creator. Now in jamaica, bond starts do dig around with some sources and witnesses and discover that the gun used to shoot both the agents was registered to a man called Dr. No., who owns a private island in the middle of the sea. 007 charters a boat to take him out there. Now on the island bond sneaks in but is quickly caught by the guards and taken to see Dr. No himself. During the meeting with Dr. No 007 is offered a job in the evil organization that Dr. No works for. Bond decides to sleep over it and in the morning decides to turn down the offer. When Bond goes to see Dr. No to tell him his decision he finds Dr. No preparing to launch a radio wave to make NASA’s rocket sink. Realizing that the job offer was to distract him from the real evil scheme, he goes and starts to fight Dr. No’s henchmen. Quickly overwhelming them he gets to the antagonist himself, Dr. No. From then on Dr. No gets pummeled smashed punched and eventually whacked by 007. In my opinion, this is one of the best James Bond films of all time.
